Pinterest, The New Marketing Strategy

According to Vertical Response, 71% of small businesses have never used Pinterest. Since 2012, Pinterest usage has doubled in size. Other websites can still being used like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln, etc, but Pinterest is not one you should ignore if you want your business to be recognized.

The first step to getting your business recognized on Pinterest is by using a Pinterest Automation Software. This automatically follows many users and usually people that get followed, follow you back.

Next is scheduling your pins. You can create an album of all your pins and select the board you want them to go on, as well as the URL to your company website. Once you've done that you can schedule your pins so they can upload one pin per day.

The next step is to spend about 30 minutes on Repinly in order to see what pins are popular at the moment and what boards are people really interested in. Doing that will help you decide where to place your pins and where you will get more views.

The last step is to add a Pin It button on your website. If someone were to run into your site and wants to share it, they can just click "Pin It" and it will show up on their board for everyone else to see. It's just like sharing a post on Facebook or re-tweeting on Twitter. You can use the Pinterest RSS WordPress Plugin to display your pins on your website.

By following these steps, your company will be exposed. The better images or ideas you post, the faster people will repin your images and your audience will grow faster.

  1. Very informative. This is definitely the best way to go about managing your Pinterest account.

Pinterest is great for businesses and marketers online. A lot of people recognize it for its ability to generate interest with the use of images and relatable pin boards. It also is great for SEO because it can serve as kind of "link directory" that houses outbound links to pages realating to your business or website.

Google looks at your Pinterest account and follows the links within it; if all the links lead to articles and blogs mentioning your business or site, it is huge for SEO and building your brand image online.

  2. Very interesting post! I have a Pinterest account and even though I don't use it that much it really is such a growing platform for businesses. It's especially great for small, start-up companies who may not have enough exposure and want to expand. Great ideas and products are all over Pinterest and it is a wonderful way to build up a brand and interested consumers!

  3. Pinterest is definitely amazing. I recently learned about it through a co-worker who was shopping for a wedding dress, she was in the consumer side of the market. But, you have actually introduced me to the seller side of the market. I feel like Pinterest is specifically aimed at this generation. The magnitude of options and choices we have for any particular product is great, but this can very well make us indecisive, therefore, I feel that Pinterest narrows down our options to other consumers' best picks. Therefore, if we use Pinterest to market our own product/company, and obtain a few buyer's attention, I believe it will easily attract a lot more consumers.

  4. I can honestly say I am not too familiar with Pinterest, but by reading your blog it seems to be very easy to use and a great new way to market products. I know that social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook can lose their ability to retain users and Pinterest may become one of the leading networks to market products. I like the information provided and think this could be beneficial for companies to use to gain new customers or reach out to new markets.
